Archos 5 vs. Archos 605?

I’ve been considering the 605 for a couple weeks now and low and behold the new generation comes out. Is the Gen 6 really that much better than the 605? It seems like the Gen 6 is better video quality and a larger screen. Is it worth it?

I am in the same position as you here but I think that I am going to go for the new archos. It’s better than the 605 in just about every aspect and is supposedly much faster with the new processor they added. The only downside I can see from buying the archos 5 is that the battery life shorter because of the larger screen. However, my opinion as of now is only based on the archos website since I can’t seem to find any hand’s on reviews of it yet (except one at generationmp3.com which is written in french) because it isn’t available until september 8th. I am going to wait until the archos 5 comes out so that I can read some hand’s on review before I make my purchase but as far as details on paper, the new archos seems to be a better choice and will not be much more expensive then the 605 unless the 605 drops it’s price dramatically when the archos 5 comes out.
