What constitutes proof of purchase?
Recently, my Archos 605 WiFi broke and I got an RMA to send it back for repair. It needs proof of purchase to get serviced under warranty. However, I don’t have the original receipt; it’s been 8 months. I did register my product as soon as I got it; would this constitute a proof of purchase? Also, I bought it at a Sam’s Club. Is there any way to obtain a proof of purchase from them? Thanks.
I want to be sure that I won’t have to pay for repairs; I’ve heard that Archos support is pretty bad.
If you registered it you should be OK. There should be a 1-800 number on the registration form (the part that you kept???). Call them and get more info.
