Archos AV500 or Archos 404 with camcorder?
Hi… I don’t know which support i should contact. Tried archos.com but they don’t reply. But i really want to know some few things before i buy another archos MP3 again or sell it…
First i am thinking of selling my archos AV500. What do i do with the registration of the product when i am able to sell it?
Also, i want to buy the archos 404 with camcorder. But i’m not so sure with its features.
a. with its built in camcorder, will you be able to record videos without buying the optional high resolution videocam thing?
b. Also, is the battery removable? What will happen if the battery is too weak? Can’t you change it in case.
c. Can you still playback videos in your tv?
The thing is i don’t understand the difference between the AV500 i have now and the new 404 with camcorder aside from the fact that the 404 has a built in camcorder and is cheaper… Can you all help me please. Or at least send me link where i could get help…
Hi there! To answer your question on the camera, yes, you can record video with the Archos 404 camcorder version. You can also play back videos on the 404 camcorder on a TV. The bad news is, the battery is not removable or rechangeable; you will need to recharge it via a DC power source when the battery gets low.
About the AV500: althought it does not have a built in camcorder, you can pick one up at NewMP3Technology at a price which is cheaper than buying a new 404 camcorder:
